Alfred Roper (pronounced "row-pay") began building houses in St. James Parish in the 1970's while working for a local lumber yard. His son, Chad, learned his dad's master carpentry skills starting at a young age while working with him building houses. Chad learned detailed carpentry by paying close attention to every detail from the ground up. The father/son duo has been building beautiful custom homes together for 30 years. They are truly a talented team!

After graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture, Chad decided to join his dad as co-owner of Alfred Roper Construction, Inc. Their reputation of being detail-oriented, hard-working and honest contractors has expanded their business over the years from St. James Parish, throughout Ascension Parish and to Baton Rouge, where they continue to build beautiful custom homes of all sizes.

With Alfred’s recent retirement, Chad continues his legacy as an honest, hard-working contractor focusing on every detail, inside and out. And, just like his dad, Chad develops relationships with his clients, architects and subcontractors that are based on mutual trust and respect. Chad's background in architecture and his years of hands-on experience have been instrumental in his success as a custom home builder.
